Winner Winner Chicken Dinner

We took a little family trip to Las Vegas this week. It was wonderful! As to not bore you with ALL the details here is an overview of our favorites from the trip:

Brad:buffets, free tram rides, free slot money, architecture at Caesar's Palace, keeping the girls out until midnight on his birthday!


Karen:70 degrees! pool, Tournament of Kings Show, the lights, the volcano at the Mirage.


Camille:
Chasing pigeons on Fremont Street, riding multiple escalators, her "bed" at the hotel (the couch), seeing and eating at the castle (Excalibur).

Natalie:Smiling at, saying hi to, and entertaining strangers, free Mardi gras beads, eating off Mom and Dad's plates.

Birthday x 2

We had a combined birthday dinner for my sister, Kaitlyn, and Brad.
(Camille also declared that it was her birthday but was content with the idea of being honored as the half-birthday girl.)

I was in charge of the cake. It's far from perfect but was a lot of fun. Since Kaitlyn and Brad are both products of the '80's I thought it was appropriate.

Alexander, we're sorry you missed the party. Hope your birthday was fun too!

Just roll with it

First ever, Saturday night hair in rollers party. (That's Mil doing her fake smile)

WOW, that's a little more curl then I bargained for.
It's five minutes until we need to be to church so we just have to "roll" with it.
(Millie's also been trying to learn to wink!)

In the end it turned out pretty cute:
I swear I'm never going to get a decent picture of her again...she's loves making faces and fake smiling!

Momma knows best!

I just want to say "I told you so"! I put Camille down for a nap at 1:00 pm. It was apparent when my visiting teachers left at 2:20 pm that she had not gone to sleep. I went to have THE talk with her.
"Camille, it's nap time, so you need to lay down and try to sleep."
"I'm not tired, Momma!" (this part of the conversation goes back and forth for awhile.)

"Nap time isn't over for at least 20 more minutes, so you have to be real quiet."
"Okay, I just want to dress up!"
"You can put on your dress up but have to be quiet. And you may not come out of your room until I come and tell you nap time is over."
"Okay"
She proceeds to dress up. I go downstairs to check email thinking, "She IS tired and WILL be cranky if she doesn't take a nap." After 25 minutes I realize it's VERY quiet and I'd better check on the 2 year old.It made me nervous when I went to check and didn't see her at first. (Her room was clean when we started "nap time". )

9 Months

Natalie turned 9 months old yesterday!
17.9 pounds
28 inches tall
LOVES to pull herself up on things!

Singing a song is fun to do...

Camille loves singing to herself. I've found her doing it a lot lately so I thought I better get it on camera.Our camera isn't the greatest with videos so she's a little hard to hear.
