Labor Day Campimg

Camping at Lake Sacandaga
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their hot dogs.
Nothing like a dinner cooked on the fire.
Playing on the lake
Building a sand castle
Emmie enjoying the tube

Getting buried by Uncle Ryan
So much fun, so much sand in their suits. :)

Brad tubing with his girls
Right before this picture I was helping push them out to sea and managed to tip them over backwards and dunk my entire family. The girls were not pleased. Brad amazingly surfaced still holding everyone. Probably, one of the funniest things I've ever seen. (So wish I'd been recording when it happened.)
Stu pulling Ryan

Getting a ride on the Renaulds' Hot Dog. The girls told me, "It was fun, SO fun."

Successful camping trip. I think we'll do it again next summer!

STU

The newest member of the Wilding clan, STU.
Isn't he handsome? (I know boats are generally girls but this one just looked like a Stu to us.)
He looks pretty good for a 1964.
Stu's maiden voyage: Sacandaga Lake, NY
Em loves the boat! (And her life "yacket.")
A great sunset cruise about the lake.

The Captains

The girls had a great time in the water while waiting for Stu to get loaded up for home.
What goofs!

The captains waving to us on shore.
Stay tuned to see what Stu got to do over Labor Day Weekend.

Snack time

I couldn't resist making these babies for Camille's first after school snack.(She then got some leftovers in her lunch the next day. Lucky duck.)

Awaiting sister's return so she can have a cookie.
FINALLY!  All day Kindergarten makes for a long day. (Mostly, for Mama...I missed my girl)

 Totally worth the wait

Goodbye Summer, Hello Kindergarten

I HATE to say goodbye to summer. I LOVE me some summer. Seriously, summer is the best! I thought so as a kid, I thought so as a teacher, and I think so as a parent. Luckily, I live in a place where fall is gorgeous and eases into winter, so things aren't all bad. :)

Today really mark the end of summer as I sent Camille off to her first day of Kindergarten. She has been a nervous and excited about it. I think today the excited out did the nervous...which is a good way to start a school year.

Outfit laid out on the floor the night before. (Who hasn't done this!)

 Mrs. Kohlstinin's class

All the girls are excited (Yes, Em is brushing her teeth. She does a thorough job.)

Ready to head for the bus stop.
(Ignore the dead plant on the porch!)

On the bus and no looking back. (Seriously, I called for her to look at me but she was so focused on getting on the bus.)

Here's to a good school year!
