Here I sit in front of the computer, still in my pjs, blogging when there is a whole house full of stuff that needs to be done! I guess when you're so spoiled with vacations it's hard to get back into reality.
June: Brad, Mil, and I spent a week up in Liberty Lake, WA garage sale-ing (sp), playing with family, and biking the Hiawatha.
July: Brad, Mil, and I spent a week in Cooke City, MT. camping, playing with nieces and nephews, hiking, getting "attacked" by wild animals..err...horses.
August: Brad, Mil, and I spent a week in Nauvoo, IL. visiting church sites, historical sites, waterparks, and driving around in a 15 passenger van.
Sept: Brad and I ditched Camille and went on a 5 day cruise with Bret and Audrey.
I don't know what we're going to do in October...at least November and December already have built in holidays!
I am a little out of practice on this whole house keeping thing so please call before you come over so I can at least make sure I'm dressed :)

Work it...
Brad and I have been working very hard lately to get in shape for the cruise we will be taking. I think it's starting to pay off!

The Goat Whisperer
For Labor Day we headed to Blackfoot to go to the Eastern Idaho State Fair. It was a lot of fun. The best part of the day (Besides the delicious ice cream cones. Mmmmm) was the petting zoo. Mil loved it. She loved being with the animals, touching, petting, feeding. She especially liked the goats. She frolicked among them as though she was one. Perhaps, we should get some goats to save on gasoline for the lawn mower.

Cock a doodle DIE!
Did you know that roosters don't just crow at sunrise? They start about 2 hours before sunrise and Cock-a-doodle-doo off and on for HOURS. How do I know this? My neighbors have a rooster, which I usually can only hear when I sleep with the windows open (which is every night because it's still hot!) I've been wondering how difficult of a procedure it would be to remove a voice box from poultry without actually killing that animal. Then I saw a commercial on TV for SilenceyourRooster. com and I thought my prayers have been answered. There's a website, perhaps it has detailed steps on voice box removals or alternatives. Turns out it's a website for AMBIEN CR, the sleep medicine. Well, so much for that. Unless, do you think giving a rooster AMBIEN CR would kill it? :)

Eating...a strenuous activity
I never thought of eating as boring, tiring, or strenuous. I left Millie to feed herself while I went to the other room for a minute. Poor girl...6:20 pm and pooped! Must of been all the excitement from opening her first birthday present. (Yes, a few days early because we won't see Grandma on her birthday.)

One Fish, Two Fish...
Ron and Donna called us to say they were irrigating the yard and they thought Camille might like to come and play in it with cousin Alli. They were right she liked it.
One thing that surprised us all were the fish. Yes, fish! I saw something moving in the water and upon closer examination I realized it was a fish. I knew when the water was gone they would just die and then we'd have to watch out for fish carcases when we played in the lawn (EW!)
We started Operation Fish Rescue. Brad put some water in the kiddie pool and then we began to capture the fish with our bare hands and deposit them into their new home. Brad was like the fish whisperer, he was getting tons. Sadly, some of them decided to swim belly up after being "rescued", most fared alright. All in all we caught over 20 fish during OFR. I'm not sure what we're going to do with them now but it was great way to spend family home evening.

I love going to King's in Rigby. It's such a fun place to look around. Yesterday, they had some items that were 75% off. I had a hayday. Nothing like getting a bottle of conditioner for $0.25, red pencils for $0.05, or a big Tonka truck for $7.50. Now that's my kind of shopping. (Yes, Camille will be getting the Tonka truck for her birthday or Christmas!)
