Sewing for Dummies...

I've been bitten by the sewing bug.

My sister told me about this super easy pattern for little girls skirts. Miss Camille thinks that the absence of snow requires the donning of skirts, so I need as many as I can get. It's Simplicity pattern #4206 Sewing Patterns for Dummies and I made it without any help. (Okay, I called and asked my sister ONE question but that almost doesn't count.)

She's convinced that this shirt and skirt match because they both have pink!

I had so much fun make the first two, (yes I'm sure there will be others to come.) that I modified the pattern. Then using the scraps from the first two and managed to make Nattie J a skirt too.

"Leave me alone and let me get back to playing."

Next project, nightgowns.

And here we have Idaho...

Almost 4 years ago Brad and I went to every county in our fair state. By visiting all 44 counties we were able to complete our Idaho passport, get a certificate from the governor, and received commemorative Lewis and Clark Jefferson "Peace Medals". It was a fun experience for us. So last week when we took the girls on a little road trip it brought back and lot of memories. It was fun to show the girls some of our fair state.

We went and stayed in McCall for two nights with Brad's brother Kevin and his family. Then headed to Payette to met up with more family. Stayed over night then headed home. We stopped at the Boise Temple and Shoshone Falls on the way. It was a nice little trip.

Natalie loving the flowers at the temple.

Enjoying the temple.

Camille loved to smell the flowers.

Once there was a snowman....

Need I say more?

Quote of the day:

“Good thing I found all those Easter eggs before they got snowed on!” --Camille

She kept turning his smile into a frown. (I guess he wasn't thrilled it snowed either!)

April Fool's Day

I love April Fool's Day. This year I struggled to come up with anything truly creative. I did short sheet the bed, which is ALWAYS funny! (And has worked every year for the last 8 years.) Seeing Brad hop into bed with those long legs just to be stopped short sure makes me chuckle.

My sister-in-law however, did April Fool's day proud. She and her girls paid a visit to her parents' house and THIS is what they left behind:

Bravo Bekah Bravo!
