Golden Birthday

28 and feeling greatWell it's been 2 weeks but I thought I better share how the birthday went and brag about Brad a little. I spent a normal day with the girls (okay I had the chicken pox and I got birthday cards in the mail but other then that it was normal.) But Brad came home and we decided to go out to eat. (I know I was risking exposing people to my illness but I wanted a fancy burger dang it!) Red Robin in Idaho Falls leaves much to be desired. Next time we'll have to try Five Guys Burger and Fries!

On the way home Brad said, "Oh there's something in my wallet for you." and pulls out this:

I've been wanting a Rigby Library Card since we moved here but they cost $ because we live outside of the city so I never bothered to go get one! Needless to say I was giddy! Brad did GOOD and could have stopped there but didn't!

We were getting ready for bed and I went to check on Mils when I came back there was a present on the bed. I opened it to find this:

IT'S A LABELER....okay I know I'm a total nerd but I've always wanted one. Now I walk around the house just looking for things that need a label!! (Is it okay to label your children?)

Then I was told to look in my nightstand to find this:
Now when I take pictures or videos with my phone I have a way to get them on the computer! Perfect because I've got some cute pictures of Nattie J and Millie that need to be accessible.

All in all the birthday was great and Brad definitely made me feel special and is a great gift giver! I hope he draws my name for Christmas. :)

Short Road Trip

Brad has every other Friday off and is always itching to go somewhere. So Friday we headed to my sister, Lisa's, house in Utah. We always have a good time. This weekend the festivities included: a visit to Hogle Zoo, fevers, Guitar Hero, yummy food, Mario Kart, leaking anti-freeze, swimming, and just chillin' with the kiddies!

When the Idaho wind stops blowing

this is what happens:

Here's my theory. The trees around here are so use to have the force of the wind to lean into that when it's calm they don't know what to do and just fall over.

Looks like we'll be having a bonfire at our house some time soon!

Well Well Well

Well, we had to dig up our well yesterday. I went out to mow (I have a jungle of a lawn..love it!) and as I was unhooking a hose I noticed a considerable amount of water around the well and hydrant. It took a second for my mind to compute the fact that the water was NOT coming from the hose or the hydrant but up from underground. Luckily, our friend, Steve had just been there and I was able to con him into coming back to help assess the problem.

We ended up turning off the pump to the well so the girls and I spent the day waterless. (Poor potty training girl was having a hard time with the not flushing after she went pee.)After work Brad, Steve, and Devin dug up the ground, found a hole in one of the pipes, fixed it and got the water to the house running again! Yeah for running water. However, wet wipes come in EXTREMELY handy when you find yourself in such a situation.

The new piece of pipe

Camille was thrilled when I asked her to hold up the broken piece to get a picture.

Yes, there's a hole in the pipe.

Interestingly enough our neighbor stopped to see want Brad was doing and the same thing happened to his well and he had used the same drilling company that we had. Brad figures it's something to do with the kind of different metals in the fittings and the water causing some sort of Electrolysis or something. Well I'm just glad I've got water again!

Chillin' Cousins

We've enjoyed having Bret, Audrey, and their girls down visiting. Camille and Alli can't seem to get enough of each other. And Payson and Natalie have been having some great bonding time!

A little tummy time

Of course they never smile at the same time!

Holding hands

Natalie thinks Payson tastes GOOD! (She seriously loved trying to suck on Little P's head...we had to pry her away!)

This month is such a special one...

it's birthday time for you!
We had Camille's cake and ice cream last night so that the grandparents, aunts, uncle and cousins could come partake.

The Cake: I'm no Lisa but the cake worked out after a little revamping from some technical problems. (It's a bathtub with some duckies in it!)

Giving the candle a little blow.

Calling in Mom for some backup. It was too hot so she had to cover her eyes.

Needless to say early cake meant opening some presents early. (OH and they were ALL good ones! Thanks Fam!)
Wearing her bling from Grandma Mryna.

So good that she can color with two hands.

Then she had to go out and show the neighborhood the new dress-ups.

Camille woke up this morning (early I might add) and went straight for earrings and crown. I told her Happy Birthday and she responsed, "I want to have a birthday again!"
Yes, she slept in the skirt and came clomping down the hall this morning wanting help with her earrings. (I was still in bed but plastic shoes on a wood floor make a great alarm clock!)

She's not giving the peace sign, she showing how old she is.

Like I said she got up EARLY this morning (She was so excited it was her birthday!)

You know your house is dirty when...

at breakfast your almost 2 year old says to you, "When I finish my oatmeal we should clean the house."
