The dawning of an absent-minded professor

I was in the kitchen cleaning up getting ready to prep dinner and I asked Miss Natters to run up to my bathroom and grab me a ponytail holder.  She had been  gone so long that I had forgotten that I even sent her on an errand when she reappeared looking like this:

Four large hair clips and my hand mirror. When I asked her where my pony tail holder was she responded, "Uhhhhhh....I....couldn't find it."  Her heart is in the right place and she has every intention of obeying but her curious, active imagination often gets the better of her.
"It's right on the counter top in my bathroom."
"Oh okay!" and off she runs again. This time she did return with said item.
FOCUS...we've got to work on that focus. :)

I'm Free...

That's right, Miss Natalie is officially three.  Camille told me yesterday, "Mom it's going to be a long time until you have a two year old again."

We loved our two year old and we're excited that she's growing up and she's happy to be three.

She decided that she wanted monster cupcakes. They turned out looking more like the Yup-yup aliens from Sesame Street than monsters but she liked them.

After hanging up the phone from a call from her Grandma she told me, "On your birthday somebody has to call on the phone to tell you Happy Birthday. That's how it's suppose to go." (I'm glad everything went according to the "plan.")

Ready to open presents
She was delighted with everything she got. And she got a lot because she's super spoiled! :)
My Little Pony Car --Thanks Caffy!

A little doll that happens to fit just right on her new pony. (Thanks Grandma & Grandpa)

This girl LOVES a good dress!
 (Good thinking Cathy.)

Natalie's quilt (I finally finished it!)
The girls have already had lots of fun playing with the new toys.
(So, it's not a clown car but you can still fit quite a few Littlest Pets in it.)

What would a birthday be without the licking of the candles?

Big Brown Balloon Box

A big, brown, very light, box arrived at our house yesterday from some of our Washington cousins. I made the girls wait all day until Dad came home to open it. (Patience is a virtue.)

It was full of balloons with stuff inside of them.
I told the girls we were going to need to pop the balloons to get the stuff out. Quick-thinking Camille went a grabbed a pen. "This should work." and it did.

Fun prizes--Notes from our cousins, candy, bracelets, bubbles, little poppers, notepads, stickers, lip gloss, slinkys.
Natalie loves My Little Pony stickers!
Emmers getting in on the action.
Emily picked up a starbrust, unwrapped it (I don't know how she knew to do that) and started gnawing on it like she's queen of the castle.

All finished...(Em's back there munching on her candy.)

THANK YOU!  We had SO much FUN!

Easter Weekend

Easter weekend is the start to spring break around here. We've been having a lot of fun.

This is what happens when you're the baby and Mom turns her back for a few minutes. Big sisters will get you every time.

We had some friends over the other night so we needed some treats.
 Our version of bird nests.

The kids seemed to like them.

We got some new springtime cookie cutters (Thanks Caffy!) Natalie enjoyed having her sandwich turned into a butterfly. She liked it "ten".  Since that's all the fingers she has I'm guessing she liked it a lot!

Easter activity at the church.
Kids are ready for a game.

These two are such good friends.

Easter Morning

Everyone got some new shades. We're totally ready for the paparazzi now.
(Thanks again Cathy.)

Of course, it wouldn't be Easter without some matching dresses!

It's difficult to get a good family picture when the Emily is ready for a nap.

 Love these girls!

The girls said it was too bright out and they would need their glasses if we wanted to do more pictures.
Emily ready to go in and call it a day.
We made some deviled eggs to take to dinner.
(Thanks to the Brooks for hosting!)
Emily hunting for eggs. (Dad is a good partner)

The girls all had a successful haul.

We also enjoyed watching these videos about Easter and Jesus. What a wonderful time of year!
We "hop" you all had a "egg"cellent Easter.
