Baby Sister

We're been trying to get Camille excited about baby sister. I keep telling her how fun they are, how lucky she is etc. It's made me think a lot about my baby sisters. I'm lucky to have 3 baby sisters (okay and 2 baby brothers but this isn't about them!) The babiest of my baby sisters is now 16! Good ole' Valerie has always been so creative. I found this picture the other day that she drew for me when she was probably about 7. It still makes me laugh! She could be a cartoonist. I remember she wanted to be a "teacher, artist, writer, and a mom" when she grew up. She definitely could be anything thing she wants. Her creativity hasn't stopped. Check out this video she made. Mil and I have watched it several times because Mil thinks Aunt Val is funny!

Birthday time at twenty-nine

I figured out exactly what a 29 year old man wants...
A butterfly cake, of course.

I totally stole this idea from my sister, Yvonne. She made a WAY cuter cake for her girls' birthday. I told Brad he would be getting one because I thought it was such a good idea. I told him that I would make it as manly as I could.

*Note: Next time I try to make a creative cake I will invest in some cake decorating tools. I'm sure it would make a big difference.

With the guidance of Master Seamstress Myrna, I made Brad a bathrobe. (I don't know if he even wants one but it was made with love and I did 99% of it myself. If all else fails he'll be able to wear it at Christmas time in a nativity scene!)

Here are some good pictures of Camillie enjoying the birthday festivities.

"I really enjoyed that cake, Mom."
"Oh no. My hands are dirty!"

"Help me, please!"

Daddy, we love you and hope you had a GREAT birthday!

STUFFED...

...crusted pizza. I love stuffed crusted pizza. I told Brad next time he takes me out I want to go to Pizza Hut for some delicious stuffed crusted pizza.

Okay, maybe it's lame (or hormones) but it just sounds so good. The other night I decided to attempt making one. It turned out alright. There was a little too much crust in some places but overall it tasted good. It will take a little perfecting to get it right, so any suggestions or past experiences please share.

Eighteen Months

Camille is eighteen months old today. Wow, time flies! She's such a fun girl to have around. We're lucky we got a kid with such a good personality. She truly has been such an easy child and we just pray they'll all be like that!

Some facts about our little Camillionaire:

  • She LOVES pasta. She often wants it for breakfast! (and often she gets the leftovers!)
  • She starts talking as soon as she wakes up. (She will tell you EVERY word she knows!)
  • She recognizes all sorts of animals and loves to make the sounds.
  • She's very good at saying "pease" and "tank you".
  • She enjoys baths (although you wouldn't think so from this picture :)
  • She loves to sleep, knows when it's bedtime, and will ask to be put to bed.
  • She loves babies! (She comes and pats my stomach and gives the baby kisses.)
  • She love to read books!
  • She likes to workout with us. (in fact, some times she initiates the workouts!)

In loving memory....

...of Howard P. Wilding! You were a good truck. I'll miss you...sniff. Be good to your new owners they seem like nice people. (Okay apparently I don't have that many pictures of you but that doesn't mean you weren't loved.)
